I've got a few trips planned over the next few months and don't want to be caught short when trying to recharge my various devices. Now, all of them claim an input of 100v-240v, so judging from what I'm reading, all I should need no matter where I travel is an adapter. Does that seem right? My trips are to Europe, US and Japan.

you could get adapters for each region (or plug pin type).. I used to do this and ended up buying new ones each time because I either left them in the hotel, or forgot to bring them with me on my trip.

What I found was better was to buy an adapter that works for all plug pin types such as this one http://us.kensington.com/html/5519.html. There are plenty on the market, it generally works out cheaper to buy one rather than several, and being a little bulkier I find it's harder to leave or forget.

Tks for that, pepperds. I actually had my eye on this, which looks even bulkier, but I'm not sure that I don't need a convertor aswell, just to be on the safe side.

If the voltage is 100v-240 then you just need the physical plug adapters. You'll get them for next to nothing on e-bay. no need for voltage adapters.
