    Hey Guys,

I have a tm m4 s system, ive had it now for about 6 months and want to upgrade it. I gonna put a few pounds into the upgrade and was looking to upgrade with systema part. gear box, motor etc.

At the moment my gun is not upgraded in anyway. Its shooting at around 280fps and it only takes a 8.4 mini battery.

So what i would like to accomplish with the systema parts is increase the ROF and the FPS.

I also want to to add a bigger battery and was thinking i would have to add a crane stock to the gun. Can you recommend a good crane stock. Ideally i want it to fit a 9.6v battery.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers,
    Gav.

Firstly, Systema isnt a blanket 'best gnu parts'...

Id advise you use a guarder m120 motor, replace your gears, and tappet, and nozzle and spring guide with Systema ones, fine, a prometheus spring, m90should do, and an element 'red' hop unit, the one with the black o rings on, guarder rubber, H bucking, prometheus 6.03 barrel, it will fire around 315-20ish, which is safe but high enough, and more importantly, it will be more accurate and have longer range, and rate of fire... :) hope that helps.

    Buy a new Gun.
    Seriously.
    I have a tm m4, its ****
Crappy mechbox, crappy plastic body. Nice motor though.
Just buy a new G&G or something.

If he wants to upgrade it, its going to work fine... afterall its better to learn on something not so important, anyway, the mechbox wont be an issue when he upgrades it, as the topic suggests eh conor?

Yes but with that money its just a TM body and motor, and since their bodies are crap i recommend he gets a new gun as it will be cheaper and less hassle.

its not 'that' crap... its just plastic, which considering the wear on an aeg, not that much... hes got it, why not let him play? if all else fails he can put that upgraded box in a new gun and roll..

That list of upgrades would make for a great gun, but he is right. After all that work, all you'd have left from the original rifle is the body and the gearbox casing.
Depending on how the OP feels about the body being plastic (it suits some, others want metal), you could get a high end for similar money with a metal body. You could pick also up a DBoys or Kalash and put in a few of those upgrades.
Failing all that, an extra $40 will get you a metal body of your choice, leaving the rifle about as original as Denise Richard's boobs.

TM armalite receivers are ****e, they'll break at the reciever pin taps after a while so you are pretty much better off buying a new gun.
The systema gearbox is very over rated too so i wouldn't really recommend that either.
Systema are also no longer in the airsoft industry so finding parts might be hard soon, and if you buy the whole gearbox there are sometimes tolerance issues that would mean parts that arn't systema wouldnt fit without modding.
Just buy a fancier rifle that shoots better and more powerful, you will save on the systema gearbox and you can also flog the TM too.

The externals on Dboys M4's is fantastic these days, flog the TM, get the Dboys, and with the bit of bob you save, a g&p m120 motor and high quality hop rubber will leave you with a serious piece, I use madbull hop buckings.
