    Does anyone know of any good reliable websites that sell power saving devices? eg electricity timers surge guards nightlights?

    And are those can crushers you get any good?

    Hi,
    i bought one a while ago from this site
    www.greencuriosityshop.ie.
    it was an electricity monitor if that is the kind you mean? i did have a can crusher too which bolted to the wall but it fell off eventually. i would like to find a freestanding one but havent been able to find one yet.

    Does anyone know of any sites that you can but items like plug timers, light sensors etc on? I had a look at the sites above but they seem to mainly sell monitors that tell you how much you are using rather than any products that assist in reducing your bill.

    May I ask what is the advantegeous of these types of devices....

    I can't get my head around how plugging in or using batteries on a device is helping you cut down your useage???
    I just don't get it....

    They create awareness of the household/business power consumption.

    If you are going to bed at night and you check the monitor and there is
    something eating 500 Watts of energy, you are damn well going to find
    out what that is and turn it off. (Obviously this may include fridge etc...)
