I'm at the start of getting Kidney disease with protein in my blood/urine got a reading of 1.5% of something or other, on 4 different drugs to control my blood pressure, I was just wondering has anyone got any pointers to info on a good diet to help slow down the progression, the only thing I'm actively doing at the moment, besides the diabetes diet advice is cutting out salt.

The best way to slow down the disease is to make sure that have good management of your diabetes. I'm guessing that you have type 2 (I could be wrong?) so maybe a CODE course which are run by the Diabetes Federation of Ireland might be off benefit. These courses are only of a small group of people, one night for 3 weeks usually with a Diabetes Nurse Specialist or Diabetes Dietician. Just a suggestion!
