Gettin' Mean on the Business End

    pistol-knife.jpg
Although they share a name, one is a modern take on an old idea and the other is well, just plain different.
The Pistol Bayonet from LaserLyte in conjunction with Ka-Bar knives evokes memories of childhood visits to museums featuring such oddities as muzzle loading pistols festooned with saber-style blades under the barrel. Pistols have been sporting rails for quite awhile now so I guess it was really only a matter of time before someone attached a blade. The 2.75 inch blade fits on medium to large pistols with rails and slides on and off with the press of two buttons. It features a Black Teflon coated carbon steel blade and comes with polymer sheath.
    M4-shocker.jpg
Delta Assault Technologies, Inc. has introduced the Delta Bayonnette. Attach to the business end of a long arm, this non-lethal device stuns with 500,000 volts of electricity (you have to enunciate each syllable of that word when you are talking 500,000 volts). Consisting of a foregrip that attaches to any Picatinny/Weaver style rail and a DAT stun muzzle brake, it is designed to fit primarily M4-style weapons. Yes, those probes sticking off the end of the muzzle brake are the shock barbs. Please note: The product may not be legal in all localities.

If I punched you with a rubber fist, would you be happy? No.

Besides the fact a rubber fist is usually some sort of horrible sex toy, if it wasn't, I doubt you'd enjoy it anyway.

Airsoft is a shooting sport, and a military combat game, people don't want to be jabbed with things, or they might react with a real fist. Better or worse than my scenario? Depends on your preferences...

apart from it being a rediculous idea for airsoft it's a stupid idea for RS too. You want to stab somebody, use a knife, you want to shoot somebody, use a gun. What the hell is wrong with people these days. Time too constrained to either stab or shoot someone so you've got to combine both? This is the firearms equivalent of a microwave dinner.

i know but someone had a rubber knife on their gun ,anyway its better than having a real sharp knife

I think drawing attention to how safe the sport is when it wasnt even the topic raised is only going to make people wonder what the big deal is but hey I am only a newb to airsoft myself (1yr) and i recognise a lot of people have been at it for way way longer so sorry if it caused any offence or touched a nerve in ya'll about a subject that to me is a non issue... its legal and when applied with common sense a non issue on the safety aspect.

Sorry if it was a no no but was only a laugh.

    Cheers.

nobody comes to airsoft to stab people , and of course if u have one it woundt be a proper knife , because ive fell a good few times skirmishing and i woudnt want that sticking in me , it would look cool though (providing it was rubber) :D

Yep, here comes the blow it all out of proportion crew!
We play a pretend warfare game and use knife/bang kills depending on the site.
Rubber knives are ok in my book, real ones aren't. Simple as that.

I have to say though I bring a Swiss army knife airsofting all the time and itsthe most used peice of my kit!
It can dismantle most guns, cut things out of my ghille suit, pluck my eyebrows, unstick food from my teeth, open celebratory beers etc

yet I don't knife kill people with it, that's what my pinky is for!
Killing airsofters with your little finger is the ultimate insult!
