I was going to post this in What Gear disapointed you Thread, after reading NJ's post.. But decided to give this topic its own space to keep things tidy.

Has anyone used Record? What do you Love / Hate about it?

The Props have lifted the Non-disclosure agreement & have given everyone permisson to discuss / post screenshots etc..

I did sign up for the beta.. but with this & that, didnt get a chance to install it.. :o

I was interesed in what NJ said on the other thread..

    Reason 'Record'

'Lets put the ability to record guitar in there and lots of hiss like some faulty hardware and the ability to record mic but with no obvious de-essing'

    Thats a bit ****ing mad.

I'm very surprised that its got nothing at all.

There is probably a combinator patch that could be set up for it if there wasnt.. but you'd probably need Reason to do that.. Bummer.

Can you Route Audio Channels through Reason devices? or Add Combinators to channels like you can in Reason?

I must load it up & give it a go.

Please deliver the verdict on Record: 2 votes

Same as yourself,...didn't get a chance to install it yet...ive been sanding my telecaster all week..Could be usefull for extra tracks through pro tools le though...record however many tracks in record and rewire them into tools as a stereo track..

This might be a bit premature but it's already looking like Record was a bit over ambitious from Propellorhead. What's the point of it anyway? I would have rathered Reason 5 with a bunch of new toys, sounds, synths, beats, loops etc...

Well done, very clever you are. I wont be using Record as a professional daw. It is coming out about 8 years too late. Reason was best served as rewired sequencer although I recorded an electronica album within Reason and nothing else. That being said I have no doubts that it will be a useful tool for some.
