Is this house worth 170k to you?(pretend you are a buyer!)

Is this the value in the market we see?

Is this the bottom of the market for value that some people are thinking about? :D

Good to see a well kept property coming to the market at a realistic price :D

as long as the "floor" keeps getting lowered, keep the crap coming :)

in terms of the house, i guess the boards are up to keep the completely refurbished interior in perfect condition for the new buyer!

At least its not burnt out. Looks like it might be habitable as a horse stable?

seriously who would use this EA if they are willing to take a joke of a property like this on their books ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,906 ✭✭✭J-blk

WTF was the EA smoking when he put that up? Or is that the generic description they use for every single property they advertise?!

I was wondering about this as well.

EA obviously has no qualms with shredding whatever credibility he had left by putting that sort of prose beside what is essentially a boarded up garden shed.

A BUYERS DREAM. FFS. At least credit any prospective buyers with a modicum of intelligence and call it a project or something.

And I believe Virginia Park (not Virigina) is the "bad" part of Finglas...

Is this a picture of the inside of this place further down the page?

    http://www.property.ie/property-for-sale/28a-Virigina-Park-Finglas-Dublin-11/463471/

The picture does not come close to matching what is written on the websites.

I only see one image on that link too, the same one of the outside as in the OP's daft link? Cause I'd love to see the "COMPLETELY REFURBISHED THROUGHOUT WITH PINE INTERNAL DOORS AND SOLID TIMBER FLOORING IN ALL BEDROOMS" interior...

All caps are never, ever a good sign...

I've dealt with this EA before on a rental property. Absolute jokers. Doesn't surprise me to see an advert full of such BS from them on DAFT. They fed me plenty of it when I rented from them.

This just looks like an ad gone wrong, wrong image with description, rather than anything else (as much fun as it is to jump on the bash the EA bandwagon).

Yes, a bit like the other 75,000 unique opportunities on Daft to own a highly sought after place in a rarely available location.

They are obviously not keen on selling it either or they'd put up more photos. I was looking at a daft ad for a house recently, and the only internal photo was of the stairs, with carpet gone. Hard to imagine an EA with so little imagination. Maybe they reserve all their imagination for the text :D

I'd well believe it... I organised viewings of 4 properties with this EA one evening and when I arrived at the first property and ten minutes later the EA still wasn't there, I rang her and she said "oh someone rang and cancelled the bookings earlier today" and then hung up...

Thats the area where the postman was shot at!

I had always thought it was the corpo that only board up houses pending the next occupant arriving.

jaysis, that is the worse photograph ever, it doesnt look that bad in real life.

its a brand new build. the owners were trying to sell it themselves for the last year or so.

but last week, it was on the market for €180,000 - so if it is your dream house i would hold off for other few weeks :D

    .

no, the postman was shot at tesco so a good bit away.

owners most have gone bankrupt or something because they own the house next door to it and that has been boarded up , as well.

i actually thought about buying it about last year :o:o:o

How about buying both- and knocking it into one reasonable sized property?

I'm looking at the photo now, and cannot figure out how this can be "just" a bad photo.

I mean, the house itself seems to be built on what looks like wasteground surrounded by bare breezeblocks.
