flight cancellation by airline and insurance cover

Hi I have travel insurance from 123.ie with AIG silver package. it does not say anything about what happens when flight is cancelled by the airliner does anyone else have the similar package? airline refund may take a long time(more than 6weeks) will my insurance give me the refund meanwhile? pls advice
