    Hey all,

    I was gonna' search but I need an up to date answer..

    First of all I tuned the dish into Astra 28.2e and out of the 90 channels available there were quite a few that couldn't get picked up,Film 4 being one.

    The signal strength was 91% and the quality about 70% so it can't be down to signal?

    Also is there only on location for Astra 28.2e?I know it's a satellite but it may have two antenna's at either side..?

    There are a lot more than 90
    read how to do a scan.
    Ensure from received channels you are pointed at 28.2E

    Also, ensure you select auto-scan on the silvercrest box as opposed to preset-scan.

    Hey all i was receiving BBC and ITV but couldn't get film 4 and some other channels,If it was receiving BBC and ITV is there any reason why it couldn't pick up film 4,I assumed it already auto scanned if it foudn them?

    Also checking the signal for film 4 showed it had about strenght 70 quaility 70 so it should of been showing it?

    Many channels have moved to different transponders.
    Best thing to do is delete all channels and do a full scan. Make sure you sellect free channels only.
    Its slow but over a couple of days it is quite easy to move them into whatever order you want. eg 1. BBC1, 2 BBC2, 3 UTV, 4 Channel4, 5 Five etc.
    I have found if you're only going to use it for 28 deg E, its best to delete all other satellites too as it is quite easy to accidentally toggle the channel list to the wrong bird and confuse people.

    What do you mean different transponders?

    They're not on the same satellite any more?

    I'll remove the other satellites next time I'm there,cheers
