    Hi,

Does anyone know of any legal formalities that must be complied with when you change your car colour? I ask because the tax disc gives the car's colour. Do you need to inform the tak office etc? I am thinking of buying a red car and spraying it black.

    Thanks,
    Johnny.

Yes inform the tax office and you may be required to provide the vehicle for inspection on completion of the re spray.

Fill in a change in particulars form and send it to the tax office. Job done.
