Its along time sinceI hung out in that area
If you dont mind hills. It about 48mls
Try Enniscrone ,Easkey, Drumore West, over the Ox mts to the R249 and turn back to Bonniconlon and Ballina and then back out the Quay rd to Enniscrone. The road across the OX mts was used in the An Post Tour of Sligo(so it may be marked)

Going over the Ox mountains is tough going on a bike. There is a complex network of 3rd class roads up there that are not well sign posted, so bring a GPS if you are not sure. On the way back I would turn right in Bonniconlo. That road will bring you back up to the main Ballina Sligo road (N59). Turn right on the main N59 towards Sligo and about 500m later turn left at Tuffy`s shop. That road will bring you back to Enniscrone. Ballina can be a busy spot (not much fun on a bike).

Another great tour is around the Pontoon lake.
