Hows me team doing on the Boards.ie fantasy Tour De France ?

For some reason Velogames is now blocked from here!

Shakers & Groovers is the name - last time I saw it we were near the relegation zone.
    :p

Cancellara 20 secs down on Ignatiev after the first 2 time checks.

Velogames isn't working for me. Its not the most robust website in the world.

    Thanks for that.

I think its been great to see him out on breaks in the last few days. Can he time trial ?

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 11,489 Mod ✭✭✭✭Hermy

I don't know but we'll soon find out.
I really hope so as he's had a great Tour so far.
Would be great to see him hold onto his top ten positions in the Green and White jersey comps, and a top thirty on GC in his first Tour would be fantastic.

    Kelly on Menchov crashing...

'Can you call it unlucky - panicking when he gets into difficulties'

King Kelly on crits to smaller riders 'well there their bread and butter.'

Listening to Eurosport is always great because of Kelly - forget Harmon
    and
don't let anyone talk to me about old Duffers - madder than a bag of weasles

Ha, willies drawn all over the road there! Reminds me of "French Revolutions" where Tim Moore described one such piece of graffiti in hilarious fashion. I can't find the excerpt online though.

Crashed yday, thinks he has a broken collarbone, but is afraid to go to hospital in case it's true and he has to abandon the race.
HTFU George, should not be afraid of the truth!!

Would it not make more sense for the support cars to carry the TT bikes with the front wheel installed already, so if they need to swap they can just swap the whole bike? Seems a bit silly if every second counts to be thinking of sticking the wheel in if they need the spare bike.

Can't disagree with this. I doubt he's afraid of the painkillers and bed-rest. These boys are incredibly tough. Finishing a grand tour is no less impressive to me, than climbing everest.

I would have let the willy graffiti artists design it, probably would have come up with something quite appropriate :)

Tzat iz ow ze Frinch peoples speak. Also I would love to know what was their passion with spelling John as Jhon, I could go on but I know my rendering of the French language is a bit hilarious. Could never pronounce Montreux (where I lived), always sounded like mon trou, which created some interesting phrases. If you've ever heard Stephen Roche (Stefan Rosh) speaking French it's funny, his accent doesn't change.
