Apparently Bono put him up to it, great stuff :) Would be great to see a match between Ali and Armstrong, maybe have the bike leg first.
"Lance is an inspiration to many people on many levels. Bono first approached me about the bike and described Lance to me as 'the greatest sportsman the world has ever known after Ali!'

Real butterflies too, I like that.

Offtopic: looks like the discs on the TT bikes are rebadged Lightweights which is interesting, Bontrager generally work with Steve Hed who is indeed a friend of Lance but he has also been known to favour Lightweights in the past.

Indeed, and I'm not sure why he stopped there. Elephant tusk forks and a panda skin saddle would really set it off.

I really like it. It looks absolutely fantatsic.
I would love a custom paint job like that on the bike.

You dont need paint though - just a butterfly catchers net and some super glue

How about a Sally Gap themed bike? Slices of roadkill, a saddle made out of a single flip-flop, a frame welded from bits of burnt out car, and an ice-cream cone holder for the viewing point food station...

I have to admit that the Hirst one is quite tasty, but I really dig the Yo****omo Nara Speed Concept

I don't think Nara put any work into that one "as a bike", he just slapped on some random doodles in his typical style. Hirst and Newson actually look like they maybe put a little thought into designing a bike. Kenny Sharf comes maybe closest to those two in terms of looking like he approached it specifically as a bike design project but the result is hideous.
