    hi guys,

just a quick query, a friend was viewing a house in the lansdowne village area, i went along for moral support, outside the house there was a large old looking crack running across the width of the main road. To be honest never seen this before in a estate. the development we understand was built by <SNIP> around 1985. there was no evidence of trenching and reinstating having taken place.

driveway to the property was paved and there only appeared minimal subsidence among the paving slabs. the canal/river in the area is approx 100 m away from the property.

    thanking you in advance

The crack is in the road, well-observed by you.
Were there signs of cracking in the house?

    ONQ.

I believe that a certain block of 1930s corpo houses on South Lotts Road have subsidence issues.
