The chances are your body is getting used to the exercise you do.

When people start to lose weight they do a certain exercise (e.g 12.0 km/h on the treadmill for 25 minutes). This works great when they start and as their body is not used to exercise it really makes a difference in terms of weight loss. However, as your body gets lighter and fitter, each time you do the treadmill at the same speed for the same time it gets easier and easier until your body doesn't get much benefit from it.

To try and counteract this, change your exercise routine once in a while. Either speed up the treadmill, add incline, do intervals (1 minute slow pace, 1 minute slow pace with incline, 1 minute fast pace with no incline, and repeat). Perhaps you could add a new CV machine - maybe replace the treadmill for the bike or the rower some days.

Also, watch how you're eating. A body needs a certain amount of food each day just to maintain the weight that your at. However, as your weight goes down, your body needs less calories to maintain the weight. So if you eat the same amount of food as you did at the start of your diet, it might be slightly more, therefore causing your weight to remain the same (whereas previously you were losing weight with the same calorie intake).

    I hope this helps!

I can't add much to what Timbuk says about except to say that when I was BB'ing for competition (many moons ago) the one thing I had to bare in mind at meal times (when cutting - or dieting in your case OP) is that you absolutely CAN NOT be full after a meal, not hungry either otherwise the temptation is there to snack and getting the balance right is hard.

But you have to be on the edge of hunger, it'll take about two weeks before your used to it - in those two weeks I found chewing sugar free gum was great for getting the yukky taste from my mouth.

But thats for a competing bodybuilder, to maintain the weight loss mean's a life style change too - thats the bollox!.

would rather go the natural way tnx all the same for the comment . would it best to keep my cv training to 65 percent of mhr to burn more calories apparently or train at interval level as stated in previous posts ,

which burns the more calories , also how many days would you limit your cv to , recently training every day but just feeling so tired and burned out

    tnx guys

Drinking plenty of water helps. I go for about 4 litres a day and it helps!

Introducing porridge in the mornings is also a good way to lose weight.
