    Hi,

    I am wondering how many days or should i say the latest you can collect jobseekers benefit from the post office , if your due to be paid on a Wednesday ?

    I'm not quite sure I understand your post. I take it you are payed weekly? Is it lodged into your post office account?

    IE.... the money is there in the post office on a wednesday, do u have to collect it on the wednesday or can you collect a few days after ?

    Up to a few days later (or believe it or not!) could even be there one day earlier.

    from what i was told you have to collect it on the day or else it gets sent back and you then have to claim it back which could take a while

    I called the welfare office this morning as I was wondering the same thing. Our local post office had a power cut so I couldn't claim this morning. I'm volunteering in a charity so I asked if I could collect it in the morning. The guy on the other end was a bit vague, but said it should still be there in the morning - if not then I have to go back to the welfare and they'll reissue it.
