    Can anyone help with this?
I had a HDD partitioned with 2 10Gigs partitions. I shrunk one and extended the C: drive with gparted which nicely reported an error. I never took down the error (I know). The D drive is smaller as it should be however the C drive appears as 8 gigs but if I go into disk management it's partition says 16 gigs. No partition software can change the partition now either and are all showing the C drive as 16 gigs and it's driving me mad.

Post a screengrab of what you see in gparted. Or disk management, but preferably gparted.

Gparted was running off a live CD so I can't get a screen shot (that Im aware of) I will say the C drive had a nice yellow triangle and exclamation point beside it. It also does not say how much used or free space is on the partition. It doesnt seem to be able to see it completely.

Heres a screen shot of disk manager.

I've circled the differences. Any help is appreciated because at this point I've run out of ideas that don't involve a reformat.
