    Hi all,
Whenever I get even a little warm little droplets of sweat form across my top lip! It means that my foundation disappears. Does this happen to anyone else and anyone have any top tips to avoid it?

Use powder to set the foundation?

I am pretty new to the whole make up thing.
Could you tell me what sort of powder to use and do I put it on after foundation before bronzer?

Before bronzer yeah. A translucent powder or I use http://www.benefitcosmetics.com/gp/product/B001P72H9O/?ext_id=FM_HF_shadefinderlinklight_1
To take away shine or set the foundation. You could just use this to top up your make up?
I'm not really great at make up advice either - but the girls on here will be able to help :D

    Hi there,

If you use a water based foundtion like MAC Face and Body Paint you should be fairly ok. It is water resistant. I am a make-up artist and use it on Brides and even on the hottest summer day it stays in place. I would recommend a primer and you do need to powder it too so use one of their loose powders or one of their new mineral powders. If you go into them they will recommend one for you. (For €25 they will do a make-over for you and you get to redeem the €25 against a product. Book in advance though). If you do decide to use the foundation you will need to practice a little with it. I find two light coats is just right. [SNIP]

Do you put on two coats of foundation? I am Mac studio sculpt, it was recommended to me by the lady in Mac.

    Hi Janeybabe,

Sorry - just here for the discussions. I'm just so used to signing off like that and sometimes I do it automatically. Very happy to give advice. (I have only posted once or twice and might have included details there too so you might want to check and edit - sorry don't know how to pm you :o

    Hi Cutie pc,

I find studio quite heavy to be honest - if you find it a little difficult to work with you might like to try mixing it with a little moisturiser. I definiely wouldn't put two coats of studio sculpt on.

I'd never in a million years use two coats of foundation, I think it would make my face look like it was varnished!
I use the Smashbox primer, then put on my foundation ( I use Chanel Vitalumiere), then loose powder over that (again Chanel). I've been commuting into the city centre this week for a course and have been legging it for train in the morning, train is packed, have to wear a coat because of the changeable weather, legging it into course and although I've been baked alive during all of this my foundation has stayed in place perfectly.

    Thanks for the advice ladies.

I will pick up some loose powder over the weekend.

Can I double check the order? Foundation, powder, bronzer and then a little blush?

That is the order. However you don't have to use bronzer, I never do and you don't have to use blush, its really up to the individual and whether you think you need that much extra colour on your face.
If you're going make up shopping I really think you should invest in a primer, it makes your foundation sit much better.

Sorry should have mention I use the smashbox colour correct primer, it tones down my very rosy checks and baggy eyes :)
I dont use bronzer everywhere just in certain places and a tiny bit of blush.
I had a make up lesson in april and like to think I manage to achieve the same look that she showed me :)

If you're happy using bronzer and blush then work away:) If you're eyes are baggy use YSL Touche Eclat, it works a treat. Also if your eyes are puffy I find keeping my under eye cream in the fridge is great, the coolness helps reduce any puffiness.
