Hi guys, new to all this business of buying shares and I would like your expert opinion on the fees involved when selling shares. Most of the fees are straight forward enough when you are buying but with taxes etc, it is not so clear on what proportion of your profits will be eaten away when you sell. Can you tell me what 'deductions' that I will pay on selling Irish shares and are there any additional taxes to be paid if I sell shares that were purchased in the US or China?
I have around 70K to invest and am not to going to watch it go easily. Have been watching the market for a few months now to get a feel for how things work before I dive in.

    Cheers

Your broker / tax advisor should be able to provide this information accurately and pretty easily. I wouldn't rely on an internet forum for tax information.
