Basically, i was told the other day over the phone that some goods had arrived at my workplace with my name on them.
Now i usually recieve goods to my work addresss and have asked the owners permission and he said it was not a problem.
I asked the person on the phone to open the goods to see what they were as i was expecting a few different things.
They told me,after opening, that it was equipment which would be usually purchased for my bosses company.
I was never asked nor told that these goods were going to be ordered and shipped to this address under my name.
Basically I am wondering why my boss would do such a thing? He hardly done it for fun and I am thinking is there something more serious to it.
Thee goods are all legal and are not of a sinister nature but i am thinking perhaps that my name could now be dragged into something.

Where do i stand on this and what should i do.

Are the goods related to your area of work, or will you use them?

Clearly your boss has an ulterior motive for doing this. We can only guess i.e. VAT issues.

Are you sure? Maybe it's your name as the contact within the office?

Are the invoices made out to you? What ype of businees? Are you selling on these items?

Invoices are not made out to me and there is no reason that i would be put as the contact person as i have nothing to do with that stuff. I wouldnt be using the stuff either. I may come in contact with it,maybe 3 times a year but there is someone else who takes care of all that side of the place.

Avoiding tax or something is what i was hinking is possible?

    What should i do?
