not sure if this is the right forum...but it's a hot topic no doubt.

anyone know what the situation would be where there's potentially a second redundancy coming, the last one 6 months previously which was voluntary and not offered to me, and whether there is an obligation or precedent for at least the same amount as before to be offered?? the offer was good and way above statutory.

i had heard that there would be a strong legal argument that at least the same offer should be made or is it up to the employer?? the fact that the last one was so recently, would that back it up?

have many many questions but at least there might be some comfort if there was a possibility of a decent offer :(

There is nothing to stop them just offering the legal min this time...

    No such precedent would exist.

So long as the figure remains on a par or above the statutory minimum, it's at the discretion of the company in question.
