4 of Skonto Rigas top players have been refused entry visas so cannot play in the tie Derry are 2.10 Skonto Riga are 3.10 could be worth a punt or sticking in an accumulator.

    Any link to this?
When this has happened before Uefa have been very intolerant of the home team and postponed the match and/or had it transferred to a neutral venue.

The home club/association/government is supposed to guarantee freedom of travel to the away team (otherwise for example the Turkish authorities could simply deny entry to all Liverpools top players before a Champions League knockout tie).

It was mentioned on RTE sports headlines at 11.

I'd be surprised if a solution isn't found that sees all the Riga players playing in that match. If there isn't then I would say the game won't go ahead at all and there would be massive repercussions for the FAI/DerryCity. Or maybe I'm wrong and its not that big a deal and Uefa would just accept it

Same thing happened to them in Scotland a few years ago and emergency visas suddenly appeared in the last 24 hours before the game.

    They've been refused. http://www.rte.ie/sport/soccer/2009/0722/derrycity_skontoriga.html

I would have backed Derry still, but well this is an added bonus.

Didnt see a thread but this is kind of related. I reckon a double chance bet with Bohs and Draw is a great price (11/10) versus Red Bull Salzburg tonight. I know they were fortunate to draw in Austria but with a decent home crowd behind them I really think they can snatch a draw and possible sneak a win if Salzburg are forced to throw men forward late on.
