    hey all,
i'm currently claiming jobseeker's Benefit while working part-time. however, the nature of my job is that the hrs fluctuate wildly from week to week- one week will be almost full-time hrs and the next may just be 6 hrs on a sunday(which the dept of social welfare don't count-hurrah!).

as it is i'm just Xing and Oing the yellow dockets for the dole to let them know my hrs. But i'm trying to apply for a medical card too now(i have a medical condition that can put some serious pressure on my finances when it flares up). How do i answer the income section on the form?

Look at your income for the past few months and average it per week. 3 months or 6 months or everything this year, if they want something different they'll ask for it. Personally I'd go with 3 months because it's most relevant.

Just write for example: "117 euro p/w(average over 3 month period)"

you should have payslips or bank statements - because the sw will need this proof anyway.
