    Hi all
I have a 00 Yaris, there is a dial for adjusting the headlights. It runs from 0 to 4.
Can anyone tell me what I should set it at?
    Thanks

If you mean the one on the dashboard the RTFM or if you are not towing anything or carrying an excessive load the set it to 0.

If you are carrying a heavy load, lots of heavy people, towing something etc then read the manual which will tell you which setting is for which.

    0 is for normal driving.

When you turn it to 4 the headlights point down. If you are towing a trailer(some Yaris can) then the car is pulled down at the back raising the beam to dazzle drivers so you would then drop the beam to keep it level.

Its there to level the lights, with a fully laden car the front of the car rises and so the lights should be lowered. Set it to whatever lets you see most road.

Thanks very much for that explanation. I had read the manual but my dad disagreed with me!
    Thanks again

Of course he did. He's a dad.

My father asked me a question last night about home insurance. I gave him my answer and he started disagreeing with me on everything I said.

    Why ask me so?

That is the headlight level. Should be set to 0 unless the car is loaded down or towing something.
