Tipp are 4-1 with Lads and Hills for the All-Ireland Hurling Championship. This is value. They are through to the semi's already and will play the winners of Limerick and Dublin. Tipp should account for either of these with something to spare.

So basically you are taking 4-1 for them in the final. Come final day they will not be 4-1 irrespective of who they are playing. The big guns are on the same side of the draw - Kilkenny, Galway and Waterford. Its looking like a Galway-Kilkenny semi. Galway have a chance of beating Kilkenny as well. If this happens Tipp will be no more than 5-4 or 6-4 on final day. If the cats win they will be 9-4 tops. Either way the 4-1 is simply too big. They should be a 5-2/11-4 shot.

not really into the stick-fighting myself, but don't Kilkenny always win this?

I wouldn't really be into it either but i'm just going on the advice someone gave me. From what I do know Killenny usually are the ones to beat

Kilkenny are the team to beat alright.

But KK dont always win it - its like saying Utd. always wins the PL.

ok - I was confusing Leinster, where they've won 10 of the last 11 titles, with the All-Ireland where they have "only" won 6 of the last 9 :pac:

Would not be interested in the 4/1 because if galway and limerick win next weekend there will be an open draw so tipp v galway semi is possible

Thats bull - the semi's are pre-determined already - winners of Dub/Lim play Tipp.

Im afraid you are wrong you can check it on gaa.ie but if you know its BULL go ahead i was only trying to save your money but you will feel a little silly if galway and limerick win next week and this bull draw throws up a galway tipp semi:eek:

    I think istabrak's right
If Waterford beat galway then they play kilkenny
But if galway win its open as they played kilkenny already
    think thats it

Istabraq, the gaa website is wrong as well, their fixture list seems to think thats its predetermined as Tipp v Dublin/Limerick.
Silly people the lot of them, you'll prove everyone wrong in the end. :)

Cliffnotes. It is definitely Tipp v Dublin/Limerick

its the limerick dublin match that is important because if dublin win kilkenny cannot play them again so then it will be a tipp v dublin semi so Warper if you have tipp backed you better shout your head off for the dubs:pac:

Quote"Draw to be made to determine pairings subject to the respective Provincial Champions not meeting the defeated Finalists from their own Province."

Would this not prove that there is no draw as the defeated provincial finalists are being kept apart, waterford on kilkennys side and dublin on tipperarys side.

There seems to be a lot of confusion. My understanding is that if both Galway and Limerick win then there will be a draw to determine which of them plays Kilkenny and which of them plays Tipperary, otherwise the pairings will be Tipperary vs Dublin/Limerick and Kilkenny vs Galway/Waterford.

Anyway back on topic, I would not back Tipperary at 4-1 to win the All-Ireland. They have not won a game in Croke Park in years. Last year they were odds on to beat Waterford and blew it.

Thanks for clearing it up, pretty clear then
If Dublin and Waterford win (both Provincial Runners Up) then semi finals are Kilkenny v Waterford and Tipperary v Dublin

If Dublin and Galway win (Dublin Provincial Runners Up) then semi finals are Kilkenny v Galway and Tipperary v Dublin

If Limerick and Waterford win (Waterford Provincial Runners Up) the semi finals are Kilkenny v Waterford and Tipperary v Limerick

If Limerick and Galway win (Both Provincial Runners Up eliminated - Galway previously played Kilkenny) the semi finals are Kilkenny v Limerick and Tipperary v Galway
