Just a quick question ladies and gentlemen? What is the song that sticks most in your head....the kind of song you hear if you're listening to the radio or your MP3 player and then it brings back a life changing moment of your life? Something that you knew would stick with you for a long long time. Mine, has to be...Damien Rice and the Blowers daughter....tell all?

The Stone Roses - I Wanna Be Adored

The lyrics are not amazing but it's the whole song really. I love the music in it. The bass and guitar strike chords with me and also remind me of good times.

Martha by Tom Waits. When I was little I used to think my dad and Tom Waits were the same person coz he was always singing along to the album Closing Time :o so it always reminds me of being little snuggled up on the couch with him. It's not my favourite Tom Waits song by a long shot but it means a lot to me coz of that

The intro is other-worldly- can't compare it to anything, it goes right through you.
That and the way it builds from nothing.

I bought the LP on the strength of a review in the NME during 1989. The band were referred to as "**** With Attitude" then and it has always stuck with me.

I've had a rather happy and uneventful life so far so the songs that come to mind are songs from funerals.

A friend died when he was 14 and had a couple of Westlife songs played at his funeral. You'd never think he was into that as he was the most stereotypical alpha male teenager you could ever meet :)

    Funky town by Lipps Inc

No idea why - but the opening tune
    Dun dun dun dun dun

    fantastic

also it runs into garden of eden i think that's the name of it... same opening sequence but melody changes after first couple of bars lol
