Acer Aspire Laptop Problem

    Hi all,

    I'm having a problem with the dvd/cd drive on this laptop.

    When I try to burn using Win Media Player or any other s/w it says I don't have a burner at all

    When I open win explorer it says that I have two (i only have one)

    Either way I can't burn to or read from the thing.

    Any ideas?

    If you go into controll panel and then sytem and then hardware and then device manager.
    If you have a look under cd/dvd you might have a double entry of the same device. Try disabling/uninstalling one then reboot.
