I have a TZ3 which I'm very pleased with. The next step up was the TZ5 which didnt improve enough for me to upgrade. When there was no sign of a new TZ at Christmas I got a Canon SLR. The TZ7 came out in January, and if it had been there before Christmas I would have bought it without hesitation. While I have never even tried one I would recommend it. You will love the zoom and the wide angle.

Yea it is coming in as a bit pricey, I've seen a few review pictures and they look great, but I take it yea can't really some pictures of to be done on a professional camara or is it in that league?
I also see the prevous model tz6 i think it is.. had a 28mm lens, while the new model has a 25mm lens, is that like a downgrade or somethin?

I have a TZ5 myself and while I've moved on into the SLR world, the TZ5 is a stunning piece of equipment. Great handheld for "night out" drunk-cam stuff as well as more impressive photography.

If anything it probably considered an upgrade:) Allows you to get an even wider view of things.

yea I'd like to get a SLR myself but I don't think I have the passion enough to go out an spend the money on getting lenses and doin a lot of research of which one to buy, I don't mind a bigger than usual digi cam..
powercity seems to be the cheapest, even if buying online at 319, but they'd have to order it.. I'd like to see a working one first

thanks for clearing that up for me lol, just goes to show my knowledge :)
I honestly thought 28mm would mean its wider and get a bigger angle..
have to look into this iso stuff too when taking pics

Also why does the older model specs say this(tz6)
12.7 megapixels of which 10.1 megapixels, and the tz7 just says 10.1 megapixels (effective)
Like as if they downgraded the pixels too..?
