How long for Rent Alllowance

    I have gathered all the necessary paperwork to apply for Rent Allowance and a lady is coming to my place on Monday to check it out, does anyone know how long after she visits does the application take to go through? Cheers in advance. ;)

    It probably varies from location to location, but I'd say it'll get backdated to the date you made the application if it's approved :)

    Oh right, i didn't realize they back dated rent allowance....that would be very helpful indeed! Thank. Oh I am based in North Co. Dublin

    as said above it probably varies but mine only took a week from when i met the CWO. then again i live in a rural area so id imagine it would take longer in Dublin
