    Do women really need flowers? come on like...flowers are pretty over rated!:rolleyes: why do women love them...is it this romantic notion they have that their fella is thoughtful!?

    My question is....what are the alternatives for €74.99 or less, something a bit more useful or affectionate than flowers!!

    Flowers aren't overrated, just blinking overpriced from florists. You can get nice and cheerful flowers from Tescos etc. I quite like flowers. They brighten a room up and so I get them all the time for my GF.

    Flowers over rated? Flowers are beautiful. This collective idea about roses is overrated though. Personally I think they are a pretty thoughtless gift and I'd be annoyed if anyone paid that amount of money on them.

    That is a ridiculous amount of money to spend on flowers. I wouldn't expect that at all.

    However I love flowers. Absolutely love them. They make me smile and as another poster said - they brighten up a room.

    I bought 3 sunflowers for 4 euros during the week and they're fab. They'd kick the expensive bunch's ass!!:D

    I love having flowers delivered to my bf's office :D
    From either a single longstem rose to a nice seasonal bunch of flowers

    wouldn't spend mad money on them though but it's nice as a surprise once in a while, especially when I hear his reaction!

    i love buying my gf flowers and i know(or think) she loves recieving them..i even get our 3 yr old a single red rose each valentines day along with my gf's flowers,sad or not i don't care!!!! i always go to the same florist and eventually the €75 fflowers became €50 as they knew i keep going back..
