Anyone got advice on how much to bring per person for 7 days to Moscow and St Petersburg where hotel, breakfast, dinner and excursions are paid for? Its an independent escourted tour that my mum and sister are going on.

Also can't get rubles here so any advice on what to do - just bring euro and convert it over there?

    Thanks

Moscow is much more expensive than St. Petersburg...and everywhere will take credit cards. I would budget €50 a day for incidentals but more if you plan to shop lots.

Just bring euro - it's a major world currency. Change it in a bank or in a proper bureau de change, not on the street. ATMS will also magically give you the right currency but it is outside the euro zone so check what your bank charges for withdrawals.

A mixture of bringing euro and using ATMs. If you have to buy dollars you're paying twice to change currency and the difference isn't really worth it.
Not sure how much to bring though. I was there 4 years ago and spent very little but other people talk about how expensive it is. I would say usually the worst is the hotel and that's paid for, so you'll be fine.

I went to Moscow in 2007 and was able to get rubles before I left; I got them in a travel agents opposite trinity college, can't remember the name of it though.
