False Nails

Getting married next year, I bite my nails and have tried willpower and other methods to stop but never lasted too long.
Thinking of getting those gel nails put on - anyone wear them and find them good?

I've had them on before...they are brilliant for nail biters to help you grow nails i believe

I got them for my wedding last year. They were grand, looked really well. I was told that they'd last 3 weeks so I went on my honeymoon with them still on and would have been back about 2 days after the 3 weeks.

You're supposed to get them soaked off so they don't damage your nails. However about a week into the honeymoon (a week and a half of having them on) I had to buy a nail clippers and cut them off. They were coming off at the sides and growing out as well so whenever my nail collided with anything I'd get a shockwave into my fingers. Yeow.

Basically they look good but I wouldn't leave them on for more than a week. Especially if you're a biter or a picker as you'll be tempted to poke and pull at them as they start coming loose.

I have them on now. Im a terrible nail biter and I constantly pick at my cuticles and attack my nails with a nail file but I'm having no issues.
I have had them on 5 days ish now and they are brilliant. They dont look very fake at all. I would suggest you try occasional nails first and see how you get on. These last a couple of days and are like gel nails. They would give you a good idea of how you'd cope. Also if you are not used to having long nails I'd get gel and not acrylic as they are more flexible and get them quite cut quite short.

gel nails last between 2-4 weeks. It depends on how fast your own nails grow etc. Cuticle oil at night will help prevent them coming away from the nail.

hope that helps. (Nail bar in Clerys in Dublin is brill for gel nails)
