After watching a program last night about the US dropping an atomic bomb on japan i got to thinking about a cartoon i watched years ago,it was about an old couple in a house in the English countryside and a nuclear bomb was about to be dropped, they were making a shelter by putting a door against a wall and whiting out all the windows

what was the name of this?

It was called "When The Wind Blows" by Raymond Briggs, the same guy who rote "The Snowman".
