    Hi

I have read the charter and think it is ok to ask this here.

Can anyone tell me the cheapest place to buy microsoft office and what verison I need if my laptop is running on vista?

I think there is a vista version of office which I heard is very difficult to use so would rather have the normal old version.

I have installed open office but I can't figure out how to say it properly to work on other laptops so I think I just need the proper microsoft office.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can steer in the right direction.

you can do this with microsoft office 2007 too

point being that users of older versions of microsoft office can't open office 2007 files either unless you change the default save as option

yes there is a 2007 reader for older versions of microsoft office but they would then need to install the latest office 2007 service pack and hotfixs too..

openoffice reads the latest microsoft formats and microsoft have a patch to read the latestt openoffice formats

    in openoffice

tools / options / load save , microsoft office tick the boxes
