X Music Problem

    Hey Boardies,

    I bought a Pearl Vision kit from X Music today and it came with the kit, and hardware: snare stand, hi-hat stand, bass pedal, straight cymbal stand and a boom stand.

    The thing is, they forgot to give me the boom cymbal stand. Its the new Pearl 900 Series hardware, and its pretty sturdy stuff so I'm a little ticked off about the error.

    I am planning on ringing them tomorrow morning very early to let them know that I didn't break it or am trying to get an extra one. I'm just wondering if anyone knows what to expect and what they'll say on the matter?

    I couldn't ring today as I got to the shop at 5:55 and it was just about to close, and it was about 7 o'clock when I realised.

    Anyway, anyone know what to expect?

    In my experience, the lads in there are very sound and will look after you.

    My only advice - don't go in all guns blazing. Be sound, explain everything, I'm sure they'll sort you out.

    Yeah, I had to go around the back and they closed the shutters. About two minutes later, the lad opened it again to bring me out a washer that he thought came with the kit. Dead sound.

    I just hope they believe me, I hope they don't think I'm trying to snag another stand off them. :(

    What do you mean by boom stand, if not the boom cymbal stand(BC900, IIRC) that you mentioned. With a Shell Pack, you'll only get the straight stand(C900) and the BC900 stands.
    If they have forgotten it with you're order, just give them a call, they should be able to sort you out. Unless it was delivered to you, in which case you should have checked to make sure it was all there? If thats the case, they mightn't be able to do anything. But the guys there are pretty sound, and know their stuff, so they should be able to help you out.

    As a drummer myself, I gotta ask for Pics?

    Did you get the free extra tom with it? If not, check out this page.

    Pearl make great drums and the Visions are no exception. Enjoy

    Ah yeah, the Visions are a kick ass drum kit alright. I'll try and get some picks tonight and put them up. Its orange sparkle and I bought a pair of Zildjian ZHT hi-hats. a ZHT fast crash and an EFX Zildjian crash. Man, they sound and look great :D

    And that free tom offer is only for US customers!

    Yeah, I know, I printed, filled in and enveloped the form before reading on a forum that it's only available in the states. Not even in Canada, just USA.

    A pity really. If you buy your kit from an American store and have an American relative, your sorted ;)

    Yep, rand them today and they told me to come up and collect it whenever. I'm gonna head up to X Music tomorrow and pick it up. I only live 10 mins drive from the shop.

    The lads were sound about it, definitely recommend them!

    I'm still fiddling with the setup (hence the tom config. in the pics) but I fell in love with this kit. I went in to buy a Sonor Force but when I saw this and noticed it was a Vision, I had to buy it!

    I've nothing to do with them I'm afraid - just a happy customer for the last few years.
    I've bought stuff cheaper over t'interweb, but I find nowadays I'm willing to pay the extra for service and friendliness (which I got from Musician Inc).
    Now that they're doing price matching, we get the best of both worlds! :D


    Oh, and wear well vflhp - hit that sh*t hard! \m/

    im both a customer who has had returns , cabassa with design fault,no quibble replacement and a friend of one of one of the owners and i know Gerry is comitted to being the best there is...if u are genuine u wont be turned away.....adrian

    i ordered a cort 5 string bass from them before but when it arrived the model was not the one i thought. Wrong pic was on the web v's the model i ordered. They did offer to get me the one from the pic for cost i and could have dug my heels in but they seemed genuinely sorry about it. Which is refreshing

    Me too - I bought a Les Paul Studio from Thomann (and some other stuff), I don't like it and I don't know why. I got it for "cheap", but I bought it without playing it. That's a mistake.
    Alll my favorite guitars I bought from Musician Inc - I paid more, but I got the chance to try several to find one I liked, and when I wasn't sure what I wanted the lads knew their sh*t enough to find me something I'd love.

    I've bought guitars/amps/other stuff in several shops over the years, but I'm a big fan of Musician/Xmusic. I'm glad to see them get the kudos they deserve.

    Kit looks sweet, well wear.

    I've bought a few bits a bobs over there in X Music, anytime i've gone in Ronan has looked after me. Even at the Steve Smith clinic, the organisation was great.

    glad we were able to help you out vflhp, sorry for the mistake in the first place, i wasn't around today but aidan knows about it and your stand is at the side of the counter waiting for you, glad to help, and also apoligies for the rush we left in that day, had a gig that night!!!!

    Yeah, just walked in today, and was back out in two minutes, great shop and service! I will definitely be buying from and recommending X Music to my friends. Quality shop!
