If you bring him beer and snacks while he watches football then the love will be shared equally.
    Go on the lads!!

Lads, if you've nothing useful to add to the discussion it may be better to add nothing.

Well, as a girl who is an huge football fanatic, it can work both ways. there was a guy i was seeing before and he had no interest in football and i have to admit, i did go watch a couple of games when i possibly could not have.

but i would never say he was second place...

OP, are you going out with a guy who's a football nut?

Always surprise me how guys, both married and single manage to finance their away trips to football matches abroad ie, world cup , champions league etc .Must at times play (a bit of) havoc with their relationships , marriages .

I can see how it could cause havoc in a relationship if the guy wanted to watch matches on TV all the time. Come the winter and there's football on nearly every evening of the week. The OP hasn't given us any more details though.

Well living in a football obsessed city were some people live and breath football 24/7 and being a football lover myself , I can see the importance it has in people lifes for both men and womon .But I never let it take over my life to the point were I would want to watch it on tv 7 days a week ,although I know many have no problem with that .

I went out with one guy recently and he was talking a lot about football.
Plus friend of mine recently split up with her boyfriend because she felt that he loved more football, news about it then her …I am think it is good that they didn’t make kids.
Personally I have nothing against football, it is a healthy interest and it is really interesting, but if it too much? It could be a seriouse problem.

Its not abut whether its right or wrong, its about whether or not you want to live with it? I had an ex like that and I hated it so I left. You cant change him so you just want different things out of life.

Oh Yes you will always be second best to football, mind you at least it is second.

this is where i come on the list

    1. Shels

    2. Premiership

    3. Boardeaux

    4. Any football competition in the world

    5. Cricket

    6. ME

I used to watch football years ago. I came to my senses though. Some of my mates absolutely love it whereas a couple wouldn't care less if it was on. Me, because a lot of my mates watch it I don't mind it being on in the pub. I wouldn't sit there at home with them though.

But if you were only just going out with this guy and all he could talk about was football then you are better off without.

Oh, and PFB, wow. In at number five.
