How much info can traffic corp gear gather in?

    I keep hearing about various systems being introduced, what info can be gathered in at the moment and whats to come? Will it be long before the Gardai have databases for everything bar our blood type?

    6 weeks the bloods will take another month,is this a police state rant? there the safest option im all for it.

    No nothing like that, I'm a tax payer who'd like to know just what the Gardai can tell with a quick scan of a number plate.

    havent seen the ANPR in operation but id imagine they just show
    # name and address of owner
    #tax and insurance dates
    #any warnings like if it was stolen

    wouldnt think they go into any other details, maybe someone from traffic would know more

    OP,

    I dont feel particularly comfortable with this thread as whatever information AGS holds on a person or people is considered confidential.

    What I will suggest though is if you interested in obtaining information on yourself which is held by one or more public/state body then you can apply through the normal channels via the Office of the Information Commissioner
