Man City bets / thoughts?

16/1 (w/ Hills) to win the League
    7/4 (w/ Skybet, 6/4 W/pp) to break in to the top 4
5/4 (w/ Ladbrokes) to win the League w/o the Big 4

Any thoughts? Adebayor looks like a cert, with the possibility of Terry + more to come (?)

Over 2.5 goals is the best bet you can go for, of the above "the best of the rest" bet looks good but at 5/4 is hardly one for the casual punter.

Adebayor to be top PL goalscorer perhaps?

Someone on here stuck 1k on him to do the same last year after his 07/08 season...

Wasn't that to be Arsenal's top goalscorer?

Yeah i remember that it was arsenal's top scorer not too sure how to gauge city's chances for next year if they get adebayor that wouldnt be enough they need a bit of strength in the backline but should be interesting how they do wouldnt rule out a top four finish

All the capture of Adebayor ensures is that they will be caught offside more than any other team in the premiership, personally I wouldnt have him ahead of Robinho, Santa Cruz or Tevez not to mention the other 6 strikers

Depending on if Arsenal get a good holding midfielder the 7/4 to finish in the top 4 is pretty good.

I still think Everton will finish above them though.

Any odds on us not to qualify for Europe next season? Probably more realistic than any of the others.

I remember that - and to be the Gunners top scorer, did he get that up?

Wouldn't touch any of em. As someone said, Everton will still be the fifth best in the League and possibly break into the top 4.

This, City buying alot of top quality strikers and no centre backs isn't going to break the top 4

I feel it will be hard for city this year and they might struggle tbh. They might find it hard to keep all these new signings happy. Surely Hughes doesn't plan on playing six strikers this season:D

Think Spuds for premiership without the big 4 might be worth a go at 4/1 with bet365 . I don't think will struggle as much this season with Harry at the helm for the possibly the whole year unless things start to go wrong. Only thing is though they might fade towards the end again like they have for the last 2 years

I'd be very sceptical about Man City. Tevez and Adebayor are two egotistical players only after one thing 'Money'.

In my opinion what this team will lack is team spirit. Money cannot buy you that. Chelsea has an excellent manager to caress the ego's in the chelsea squad but i'm not sure about Hughes. Anyways my predictions for 2009/10 are.

    Champions : Liverpool
    Second: Chelsea
    Third: Man U
    4th: Arsenal
    5th: Everton
    6th: Spurs.
    7th: Man City
    8th:Villa.

    Top scorer: Torres

    Relegation: P'Mount
    Wolves & Burnley.

A good City bet is Mark Hughes to get sacked first at 7/2 with PP.

And I'm a City fan

No point backing Adebayor to be top scorer as I imagine there will be quite a lot of rotation in the Man City forward line.

Totally disagree you on this as i think Adebayor will start most premiership games along with Tevez and Robinho as the rest will be back up, as hes proved at Arsenal he can score goals at the highest level! some may say Santa cruz can score as well but Adebayor is a level above him.

I also think he will start most games, and definitely has a shout of getting 15 goals or so with decent service from Ireland, Barry, Robinho et al. Torres might get injured again, Anelka may be rotated more with the new manager etc. You never know! I think there was value at 30/1 (worth a €2 punt anyway :D)
