Anyone want to lend me an external hard drive for a day or two. (Deposit paid). Just want to transfer files off my laptop so that I can remaster it and not lose them. Or if anyone knows of a better way to do it please let me know. Many thanks.:)

They're not that expensive now. I was talking to someone who got a 1TB drive for e80 last week :D

    How many GB you need?
Mine is pretty much full of porn work.

I know they are fairly cheap but just can't justify it as never really need it. Only need about 40GB of space.

Have you a backup of your machine ?

From the sounds of it no .. so what happens when your machine blows up and you've lost the 40GBs that are on it ? will you be happy ?

Been there done that ... suffered the consequences :(

Good point Forbairt. Maybe I should just buy one. I tried to on adverts.ie but seller had to pull out. Had a look on lidl website. Didn't see one for sale:confused:

that reminds me,....i have a laptop hard drive in the freezer from yesterday

guy had all photos and VAT returns saved on it, no backups whatsoever, drive stopped working while he was on the net 3 days ago, its spinning but clicking.

OP, burn the stuff to DVD's that are usually only a few cent each and you can keep that backup

I was all set to offer you one until I checked the various drives that I have and they are all pretty much full. I'd get about 40Gb of space spread through about three of them :)

Someday I will find the time to clear them out as I'm sure there's a lot of junk that could be deleted.
