Ok guys so I recently applied for the Jobseekers Allowance (the one where you claim for some benefit when you already work 2 days a week). However I have just left that job where I worked 2 days a week and am about to contact the social welfare office to apply for the full benefit....

As of yet I have not received any benefits as my application for JA (which I made 6 weeks ago) is still being processed and I am waiting for this guy to come visit my house or whatever...

But I'm just wondering....when I apply now to have my JA switched to full JB how will they know I have left my job as opposed to being let go? Can anyone tell me what sort of documentation is requested by the SWO? Can I not just say I have been let go from my P/T job in order to avoid the 9 week exclusion period?

    Thanks guys

Lying in this situation would be fraud.
