I'm heading off on a cruise with my girlfriend next month, we're 24 and 25. I've looked at the reviews of the cruise we're going on and everyone says its great but im thinking its all old people.

Have you went on a cruise? is it REALLY as old as everyone says it is?

It doesn't bother me all that much, we'll do our own thing and enjoy ourselves but im a sociable guy and i love a bit of craic with people if i can find it!

It depends on the cruise line.

Which ship are you heading on ?

Really interested to hear a bit more about your cruise as I was thinking of doing one but was put off by everyone saying theyre for older people...

Where did you book it/how long/where will it bring you?

Anyone else have any experiences of good cruises?

As long as your avoid the "old people" cruise lines (hal , cunard..etc) you will be fine.

Most cruise lines now would have the same age demographic of a normal hotel.

Looks like we're all a bit sketchy on the subject!

We booked through budget travel. The ship we're going on is the Thompson Destiny.

We'd really have liked to do the Caribbean cruise, but we were unsure of our ship legs, so we said we'd do this cheaper one and if we like it, next year we'll do the Caribbean.

I don't know too much about Thompson.

If you do some reading on the cruise critic board for Thompson you should get a good idea of what to expect.
