Costs - Madrid - Daily/Night spending

    I'm looking into going to Madrid for a week, and I'm curious as to the costs involved during the day & night time activities. How much of a difference is there between the costs in Ireland versus Madrid? I'm aiming to be going out a lot with a focus on the nightclub scene, and I'm worried at the potential costs. I'm not a huge drinker, but entry costs to clubs or taxi costs worry me a bit. Also interested in costs for meals, water, etc.

    Anyone been there recently that can enlighten me? The crux is that I have been considering going back to Beijing. The costs in flights/hotel are high whereas the living costs are low. However, with Spain the flights/hotel being lower and the living costs probably much higher. I'd be looking at 7 days in Madrid.

    I don't want to have to allocate a fortune.. since I'm back to being a student, and out of work. ;)
