sky+ recordings missing start/end

hi,

got SKY+ installed recently and have been using the recording feature a bit but im noticing some of the start or end of programs are being cut off. especially on 3e programs like 30 rock & jimmy kimmel or american ofice start like 10mins before they are due to start!! :mad:

is the anyway to change the settings to overome this??

Go to options or services on remote(i think) and then ur sky+ settings. This will give ye the option to start 5mins early and finish 10mins after recording or whatever u think. Had this prob when i used it at the start.

this is down to the channels shoddy timekeeping, lol. It has nout to do with SKY.

as gman says, you can change the settings.
Services - > Sky+ setup - > Add to start/add to end.

I have it left on 10 mins myself.

I did the same after i missed the cliffhanger of a show i was tapin. Lost or prison break or somethin. Wasnt pleased at all. 10 mins extra now to every recording

It's down to the channel, not your Sky+ box.

In my experience, the Irish channels are woeful at screwing these times up. :mad:

Yep, I had exactly the same issue. I've series linked 'The Wire' (BBC 2) and I noticed during season 3 it would start recording too early and then cut off the end of the program, Grrrr! Strangely after I disabled the 'add to the beginning and end' of recordings it seemed to be better. Though it is the broadcasters fault, not the Sky+ box.
