Will Asian version MGS4 online work here?

I have the Asian version of MGS4.

I never bothered to try and play online until now. I wondering will my version work here because I currently have version 1.00 and the new version is 1.33 so it had to install that but I left it for 15 minutes and was still on 0% ?

    Any ideas?

It will most likely work, at the very least it will update. Problem being that whatever structure konami put behind the online network is god awful, it just takes forever to download.

A lot longer than 15 minutes, try leaving it running when you're at work, asleep, ie. something that will take you away for a considerable amount of time.
