Printing - A6

    Folks,

    Im pulling my hair out here - trying to print out some "Save The Date" cards for my wedding - well actually a few previews / test ones to see how they look before splashing out and getting someone to print them for a charge!!

    Anyways - Ive tried printing through PS and a few other programs with crazy results.
    I set the canvas size to 10 x 15 cm, when I started - which is the size of an A6 piece of paper, although, when I try to print in through PS, changed the paper to A6, its only priniting roughtly 1/4 of the image (the top right hand corner), so im guessing its printing in A4 and im only seeing the corner of it!

    Any ideas - tried numberous combinations and havent got it close to fitting!
    Also, when I print it on an normal A4 page, its the right size, bang in the centre!!

    Open MS Paint: open your file,
    File>Page Setup,
    Size: A6
    Fit To: [1] [1]
    Change Orientation if necessary
    Change margins if necessary
    OK
    Print (check 'preferences' if needed)

    You are changing the Canvas Size but not the size of the image.

    I do not have PS here with me but you will need to resize the image itself.

    I changed the canvas size and cropped the image to the exact size of the paper!!

    I figured out what I was doing wrong - I was picking the "A6 Card" option, which was still showing the deminsions as A4 - cant understand why, there was an option for A6 with tab - but i didnt want to pick that and couldnt understand why it was printing 4 times bigger!!
    Anyways - I set up a custom size and it wasnt til i did that that I twigged the size of the A6 Card option!
    Was printing in the correct size then with a margin!! But finally got around it!!

    Phew!! :mad::rolleyes::D
