Simple question. i am doing the HCAP in September followed by the range test in October. I do not have a deer license yet so cannot get a riffle  so was wondering how to pratice for the range test and with which riffle to actually do the test ?

    Any suggestions welcome. Thank you

Have you applied for the stalking permit? If so, get a letter from the NPWS stating that you have applied, and all things going well you will be granted a permit. Use this letter in support of your Firearms application.

    Thank you Jonty.
I do not have any territory yet so will not get a stalking permit.
Want to do the HCAP first and then look for land....

are you a member of any range that shoots CF?
if yes then you have a valid reason for your CF rifle.
