Can anyone advise on the best way (courier?) to send a Giant Rock (great value) mountain bike from Donegal to London please? I am giving my bike to my brother as I have a new one (progressed to raod bikes). Would a courier cost more than say 100 euro? Many thanks in advance for any advice

I meant 'road' but didn't mean anything by 'progressed'. I use my road bike in Kilkenny where we live and a mountain bike when in Donegal. I just don't need my Trek mountain bike in Kilkenny anymore, so it is going to Donegal and the cheaper Giant one I had up there at the parents in law is being given to my brother. Complicated and no offence meant to mountain bike enthusiasts.

it may well cost 100 euro to ship the bike to London. How much could you sell it for here and how much could he buy one for in london? the difference may be less than the transport.

Anyway re transport , it will probably be more convenient to ship it from Derry, if that is not too far from you. there are several big "groupage companies" in the North.
It seems that Montgomery,Portadown (ex Dukes Transport) as agent for Palletline might be the best.
Another problem for the shipping company is that deliveries into London can be difficult

Thanks for advice. He'll need to spend about 350 pounds in london to avoid halfords and he is in watford so delivery should be easy. It will probably be cheaper than his ryanair flight and at the moment i'm getting grief for having 3 bikes when i'm looking at a focus cayo carbon from wiggle.
