I’m just wondering how difficult is it to get on to the Dental Science course at trinity college?? Is there anyone here that is doing or done the course??. I thinking of apply as a mature student after I complete the course in Dental Hygiene. How many mature students are on the course each year? And what is the possible of me getting on to the course as a mature student after I do dental hygiene

I'm wondering the exact same thing...I'm studying Biomedical science, but I'm dead set on dentistry..
@Kent942 I'd say because you'd be in Trinity it would make things alot less complex, and you'd have done subjects which are clinically based so thats another feather in your cap!! I'd recommend getting in touch with the dental school there, or even ask UCC if they'd take you!
    Best of luck!

Doin dental at the moment. Theres 3 matures in the class who came from primary teaching, masters in law and phd in botany, so i think social skills play a huge part in gettin in as a mature, be able to communicate. Its a fairly difficult course, have to keep tippin away with the work, or else it piles up massively. PBL is a real bitch too, along with Physics. Its worth it though.
