My husband was self employed until June 2008 he still has not found work, and as per the PRSI situation for self employed he is signing for credits but does not get any payment even after an appeal to social welfare.
I know from radio/papers etc that there are many of you out there in the same position, would like some advise on how to handle the whole area of trying to get back on live register etc
    thanks

Think everyone's in the same boat when you apply for jobseekers allowance whether you've been self-employed.never employed, or an x-employee who's stamps have run out.Its a means-tested payment so you're means-tested on your partners income or your parents if your're under 24.
