    So who's in for these races?
    Would be great to put some faces to the many names on the A/R/T Forum. My race number is 3850

    I plan on being around the start line at 8 - Getting the 0535 train from Limerick :eek:

    I'm trying to work out how to get there on Saturday - just a bit too far away for me to cycle (and then try and run!) and I reckon the parking will be wicked. Think I might have to cadge a lift from the hubby and kiddies...

    I'm not a familiar name round these parts but i'll be out there for the 5 and 10 mile races. Race number of 4268, will show up around 9 since i only live a mile from the parkgate st main gates:)

    Have not updated my training log for ages but am still in training and all set for the Race Series...ran the course today, pretty tough and hilly in parts but looking forward to it! :-)

    I could be convinced to go for a post race refreshment. Only draw back is that race is quite early so there could be a lot of drunken boardsies falling around before 1pm :eek:

    Tips for KK: Don't start too far back. Start out easy and try on your souvenir shirt to make sure you get the right size.

    The main tip: Have fun! :)

    Be there on time, start in the right place (if you're relatively slow that'll be close to the back), and go at your own pace. Be prepared to surprise yourself though, you'll be amazed at what you can do in a race situation.

    Are you doing any sort of run-walk intervals, or are you just running as far as you can, then walking to get your breath back?

    Would like to ask a quick question if i may? This will be my first ever race, i'm not sure if its a road or cc terrain but running road i can be finished in like 30 mins...where should i hang out before the off? Oh any "secure" enough place to leave a backpack, or not?

    I'm mostly walking tbh.. will walk to start off, will then run a small bit, then go back to walking fairly briskly and so on. I could go for good bit without attempting to run. Am keeping up a brisk walk between though. I only really started in the last few weeks so I don't have any great expectations. Am still getting used to pacing myself and learning to listen to my legs/lungs!

    I more or less did the course at the weekend, so I saw where I would be able to do a bit of running (down Chesterfield and Kyber Road) but I think going up the hilly bit I'd need to stick to the walking at the moment.

    Just turn up, as the numbers are high be there in plenty of time, you will probably be called to line about 9:45.
